El Corazón boutique hotel

I stayed here for 7 nights and it was amazing! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and always had everything I needed. The AC was effective but so were the fans, so I was able to use less AC than I'd expect. The service was immaculate, everyone was so kind. Sonia and Fabio at the front desk were very helpful and chill. The kitchen staff was remarkable. The breakfast was delicious, very substantial, and varied enough that I didn't get tired after 7 of them. I happened to be there on my birthday and they gave me a VERY tasty surprise chocolate pie. Speaking of birthday surprises, they also decorated my room. I mean, I didn't even tell them but they took note! It was really cute. It wasn't necessary, but it was a nice touch of warmth. And of course, the cleaning crew, I never had sand inside after they came! Really amazing and felt fresh everyday. I chose this hotel because its partnership with Hotel Mawambi beach club, which is so easy and quick to walk to, and for the reviews of the breakfast actually tasting good, which again, I completely vouch for. I'm so glad I chose this hotel because not only were both those super important to my trip, but also it ended up being such a great a stay in other ways. I booked my tours with them and they were very communicative and helpful as I struggled with indecision. The prices for tours were not more expensive when booking through the hotel which I thought was uncommon and much appreciated. I even chose to push back my trip by a month due to bad weather and they honored the price even though it should've been more expensive with my new booking AND they did rescheduled it no charge. Their easy going and kind spirit reflect the island. Lastly, when you stay here, check out the spots around it like the tortilleria and the fruit market with the cutest puppy Nala across from it. Everyone was so kind, I can't get over it. I felt El Corazón was the best value, wasn't too close to the main square or bars that it was loud, but was a very quick walk to the main square, food, and beach. Since the stay was amazing (comfortable pillows and bed too), the beach club was fantastic, and everyone on the property was helpful and beyond nice, it's definitely worth it. Just a note - the hotel has plenty of filtered water to fill up your bottles! I think most hotels have this, mawambi had it too, but it's good to know! Thanks so much!

The hotel was wonderful in all regards, staff are extremely nice and helpful, the rooms and entire hotel are very very clean, finally the beach is a short walk (2-3 min). Would highly suggest.

We had a wonderful stay at El Corazon in Holbox and would recommend it highly. We loved our room (with the terrace) and it felt like a haven to return to after a day at the nearby beach club which we also thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone working at the hotel was very helpful and we particularly enjoyed our breakfasts on the roof terrace which were delicious! Thank you for a lovely few days in Holbox.

We had the most incredible time staying here! Our room was beautiful, the bed was so comfy, the breakfasts were delicious, and the staff went over and above to make our stay special - including decorating our room for Valentines Day and my birthday. The free access to Mawimbi beach club is also amazing!!

Absolutely wonderful hotel! The hotel is truly exceptional — from the genuine kindness of the staff, to the beautifully designed rooms where every detail is thought through, to the impressive cleanliness (which I have no idea how the team manages to maintain given the muddy streets!), all while being so discreet and professional. Delicious breakfasts are served in a lovely rooftop setting with a great atmosphere. We also really appreciated the helpful WhatsApp messages full of useful information — from ferry schedules to restaurant and tour recommendations. The rooms are equipped with coffee machines (and coffee!), tea sets, and wonderful eco-friendly cosmetics made in Mexico — such a lovely surprise! The hotel also provides access to a fantastic beach bar. We stayed for three nights and honestly wish it had been longer — both the hotel and the island are amazing. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality! If we ever return to the island, we’ll definitely stay with you again — and we’ll be recommending you to all our friends.

The hotel is perfect: located just a few minutes' walk from the beach (beach pass included), a few minutes from downtown, and one of the best restaurants on the island is just steps away. Additionally, our room had a lovely balcony with a hammock and chairs for relaxing at the end of the day. The housekeeping was impeccable, not to mention the breakfasts on the rooftop, which were amazing. We were treated like royalty by Sonia and Fabio, who did everything they could to make our stay on the island unforgettable. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at El Corazón in Holbox. From the warm welcome with a fresh juice to the thoughtful service throughout, everything felt well taken care of. The beds were incredibly comfortable — by far the best we had during our time in Mexico. Sleeping well makes such a difference, en we really appreciated that. What stood out the most was how clean everything was. Holbox has sandy roads, so it’s normal to bring some of that with you. But at El Corazón, the hotel is kept so clean you barely notice. Every time we stepped out of our room, someone was cleaning. The rooms were spotless, and the whole property was clearly maintained with great attention to detail. Hygiene is clearly a priority here, and that was a big plus for us. Although the hotel isn’t right on the beach, guests have access to a nearby beach club — which is really beautiful. It’s only about 200 meters away, but it gives you the feeling of having beach access right from your room. We ended up spending most of our time there. The rooftop terrace is also lovely — peaceful and well designed, a great spot to relax. All in all, we really enjoyed our time here. It’s a well-run, thoughtfully maintained hotel with a warm atmosphere. Highly recommended.
